Jeep 4.0L w/Std JET Chip Power module 97-01

JET Stage 1 Power Control Module for Jeep 4.0L standard transmission applications.  I bought it for my 1999 wrangler, but the catalogs lists this part number 90015 for any Jeep 4.0L years 97 through 01 with manual transmission.

The manufacture claims gains of up to 25hp.  I don't know exactly how much gain there is but I can assure you that you can feel it.  My experience showed that yes you get more power right off the start and then even more as the computer adjusts with a few days of stop and go driving.  The down side is that it does effect the gas mileage.  I guess the signal remapping trades off a couple mpg for that power increase. 

This chip plugs right in between the box and the harness plug.  It requires no other wiring and only takes minutes to install and remove.  JET Chip is currently selling this stage 1 module for $309.95. 

I've had this in my Jeep only a few times.  Since most of my driving is within 1 mile of stop signs and lights the mpg loss won over the performance gain that I only occasionally got to experience.  It's been sitting on the shelf in my office since my last use in about 2001.  I had 33x12.50 tires with the stock gearing for my experience base.
