Cabinet & Misc

The entertainment center makeover started with selecting a cabinet. The selection caused a long list of limitations for electronics as no existing electronics, meeting my minimum specifications, would fit due to the 15" interior depth. At that time there were no HD capable receivers that would fit. Sony was promising a release but delayed so the only other decent choice was a more expensive, just released, Sherwood Newcastle R-772 that was really too deep as I had to use right angle adaptors and remove the front knobs so the door could close. The reciever finally got replaced with a Sony STR-2010 late 2011.

The cabinet was Amish made to order through Heritage Reflections. It is called McCoy Model MC-1860TV. I found some automatic fans that I added for keeping the compartments cool. The name of the fan kits were called Cab-Cool and they work great.
